Talking to an SL friend of mine, the other day, I was wondering what kind of blog I'm having: a SL fashion blog exclusively ... or what could my blog be?
Well, actually, I think I found myself :)
Sea in Fashion is a personal blog of a SL Model, yes, a diary type, I'm afraid.
So, I'd like to share with you something that touched me, really.
I was part of Maseno Project II developped by Mimmi Boa inworld to help RL children. Yesterday, May 8th, I was in Maseno Show with SuperElite Model Agency (one of the SL Agencies I represent.
It was an amazing experience, especially the auction dress part. In RL, I am caucasian, so I was used to wear caucasian skins in SL. And this particular SL Designer asked for an afro skin to wear her outfit!
Outfit: Prelude Collection Privee - Tropiques
I did, no questions asked. It's a request from the Designer and that we can do in SL. This is what amazes me in SL! Always! To see myself in someone else's shoes - an african lady!
A Model should be unique. Both RL and SL. In Second Life, we can adapt more to each circumstance.
So, I also "found myself" as a SL Model: my uniqueness is that I am adaptable. Yes, I can wear proudly an african skin, an asian skin, a caucasian blue eyed avatar, dark eyes, whatever is needed to do my job well: represent a special Designer, represent a SL Model Agency.
Mostly, I found out that SL allows me to be exactly what I am in RL - extremely adaptable to whatever life brings me. If you are given lemons, make lemonade. Let it be the best lemonade you ever tasted!!
